Here at Fore Play Crazy Golf, we believe that everyone should be free to be exactly who they are. That’s why we are buzzing to show our support to the LGBTQIA+ community through highlighting some of our favourite businesses in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Whether you’re enjoying the city centre or soaking up the Scottish sun (hopefully), make sure to celebrate PRIDE by checking out the following places below. 

Category is Books

Category Is Books is an independent bookshop in Glasgow and one of only 7 LGBTQIA+ bookshops in the United Kingdom. Started by Charlotte (they/them) and Fionn (‘Fin’) Duffy-Scott (they/them), they hope to create a space for the LGBTQIA+ community to learn about, be inspired by and share in their love of queer books, art, history, activism, writing and storytelling. 

Kafe Kweer

Kafe Kweer is a queer sober cafe space in Edinburgh which, under the stewardship of Oskar Hansen and Zak Riding, has made for a special haven for the LGBTQIA+ community. Looking for a LGBTQIA+ friendly space is normally filled with booze and entertainment, so Hansen and Riding made it their mission to open a quiet, safe space for the community. 

The Butterfly Lounge

The butterfly lounge is an independent LGBTQ+ bar located in the heart of the merchant city that welcomes everyone. If you find yourself in Glasgow this June, make sure to head over and experience some of the best vibes of Glasgow’s favourite party bar. 

Planet Bar and Kitchen

Highly recommended by our staff, the Plant Bar and Kichen is Edinburgh’s longest running LGBTQIA+ friendly bar renowned for its friendly crowd, fun staff, low-price premium drinks. We can’t think of a better place to celebrate Pride in Edinburgh!

Salon 99

If you’re looking for an LGBTQIA+ owned salon to support this pride month, look nae further than Salon 99 in Portobello. Highly recommended by our team, Jordan Robertson’s salon is our top spot for all professional hair and beauty services.
