Trying to plan a banging weekend…

Trying to plan a banging weekend in Tier 3?

Grabbing tickets to putt about on our crazy golf course with your pals would be a swinging start. Quality scran from Loaded and a stunning selection of non-alcoholic bevvies (including mocktails topped with sweeties and Tunnock’s wafers) will also be available to order and enjoy until 6pm while you’re sitting doon in the venue or to go as a carry oot after 6pm.

Whether you’re not sure what else is on or you just want to make the most of your time off, we’ve made a wee list of some other quality places to eat, drink and play this weekend.

Eat

If you want to spend your Saturday and Sunday stuffing yir face with street food, Glasgow’s foodie community has you covered wherever the subway takes you. For everything from traditional Thai to authentic Southern American, step off the Finnieston strip and straight into Dockyard Social. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and tuck into one of the delicious dishes on offer at Platform. If you’re going tae Govan, pay a visit to our neighbours, Big Feed. It’s the largest indoor street food market in Scotland and only a 10 minute stroll from our venue in Kinning Park.

Drink

Book in that long-overdue catch up with your pal at one of the city’s many cosy coffee shops. Sample baked goods from Sweet Jane Bakehouse in Cafe Strange Brew, sit back and enjoy an afternoon in Kothel (which is also dug friendly – yaldi) or just take home a bag o’ beans for later from Paper Cup Coffee.

Play

Swap the usual city lights for the GlasGlow trail. With bonnie displays and fires to roast yir marshmallows, it sounds like fun tae us. From impressive street art to classic ‘landmarks’ like the cone, re-discover Glasgow City Centre, and the inspiration behind our ace venue, on a walking tour. Putter along Buchanan Street or pay a visit to some of the independent retail shops outside the city centre. It’s never too early to get cracking with the Christmas shopping.

And, if you just don’t fancy a packed weekend? Fair play. Swing by our venue for a quick round or simply to order street scran to go and enjoy fae the sofa.
