Trying to plan a cracking weekend ….

Trying to plan a cracking weekend within the everchanging guidelines?

Grabbing tickets to putt about on the crazy golf course with your pals would be a swinging start. Delicious scran from The Pitt and non-alcoholic bevvies will be available to order and enjoy until 6pm when you’re sitting doon in the venue. Worried you’ll be peckish post 6pm? Nae bother, scran and booze (aye, that’s right – cocktails from Pickering’s and crips pints from Edinburgh Beer Factory are still on the menu) will be available all day to order and take away after you play.

But, whether you’ve got some time before you tee-off or just want some post-putting inspiration  – we’ve shared our top tips for making the most of your time in the Capital this weekend:

Fore…play

Discover hidden streets and historical treats on one of the city’s walking or bus tours. Don’t forget to ask for directions to Greyfriars Bobby. Giving his nose a wee rub may just give you some much needed luck when you tackle the course later in the day.

If the weather is dreich, why not get your historical fix in one of the many museums. We recommend the National Museum of Scotland or the National Portrait Gallery for great inspiration for winning poses.

Putter along Princes Street and pay a visit to all of our retail pals. It’s never too early to get cracking with the Christmas shopping.

Gameover…

Grab a spot in one of the parks or public squares near our venue. Settle down and take in the city sights as you sip on your cocktails in London Street Gardens, Gayfield Square or St Andrews Square.

Alternatively, treat yourself to a night away at one of the many nearby hotels. Switch on a film, settle into fresh sheets and stuff your face with street food in a swanky room. Everything from The Balmoral Hotel, The Courtyard by Marriot and Hotel Indigo to The Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express are closeby.

Or, you might just want to head hame to enjoy your scran fae the sofa. Fair play. We’re located next to York Place tram stop, on plenty of bus routes and a short stride from Waverley train station. You’ll be kicking back in your baffies in no time!
